  1. Login to the WordPress Dashboard.
  2. From the ‘Appearance’ menu on the left-hand side of the Dashboard, select the ‘Menus’ option to bring up the Menu Editor.
  3. Create a new menu and add your menu items as presented with the WordPress Codex: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Menu_User_Guide
  4. After you are done creating your menu scroll to the bottom of the menu editor window.
  5. In the section titled Display location, click the check box for Header Menu.
  6. Click Save menu once you’ve made your selection.

1. Enable CSS classes

Scroll up and find the “Screen Options” at the top right of the Menu, and click on the drop-down arrow. The screen should look like this:

2. Create a new menu item for the Mega Menu

  • Go back to your “Menus” section and scroll to the “Custom Links” section on the middle left. Change the “URL” to “#”, and add a name for the label.
  • Click on “Add to Menu”, and your custom menu item will appear on your main menu list.
  • Click on the drop-down arrow of the menu item icon, and when the screen opens up, find “CSS Classes” and type mega-menu – see screenshot below.

3. Add child menu items to your mega menu item.

  1. From the ‘Appearance’ menu on the left-hand side of the Dashboard, select the ‘Menus’ option to bring up the Menu Editor.
  2. Select an already created menu or create a new one. More info on managing menus can be found with the WordPress Codex: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Menu_User_Guide
  3. After you are done creating your menu scroll to the bottom of the menu editor window.
  4. In the section titled Display location, click the check box for Topbar Menu.
  5. Click Save menu once you’ve made your selection.

How to edit the footer area. To be able to make changes to the footer, you should first locate the exact theme areas and adjust the right elements.

Customizing the Footer area – to make changes to the general appearance of the Footer Area like changing text and background colors, navigate to Theme Options > Footer. The full list of options can also be viewed here.
